Nanotechnology, the manipulation of matter at the nanoscale, has made significant strides in various fields, including medicine. In drug delivery, nanotechnology has the potential to revolutionize traditional methods, providing controlled release, enhanced bioavailability, and targeted delivery of therapeutic agents. This article discusses the impact of nanotechnology on drug delivery systems, focusing on the advancements in nanocarriers such as liposomes, dendrimers, and nanoparticles. These innovations promise to overcome several limitations of conventional drug delivery, including poor solubility, instability, and nonspecific distribution. The integration of nanotechnology into medicine has the potential to improve the efficacy and safety of drugs, providing more precise treatment options for various diseases, including cancer, diabetes, and neurological disorders.
