Abstract

Telemedicine, the practice of delivering healthcare remotely through technology, has gained significant traction worldwide, particularly in Pakistan, where access to quality healthcare remains a challenge in rural and underserved areas. This study explores the impact of telemedicine on healthcare delivery, focusing on its opportunities and challenges within the context of Pakistan's healthcare system. The research highlights the technological, economic, and social benefits of telemedicine while also addressing the hurdles that impede its widespread adoption. Through a comprehensive analysis, the paper identifies critical factors such as infrastructure limitations, digital literacy, regulatory challenges, and healthcare professionals' adaptation. The study concludes with recommendations for policy interventions and strategies to overcome these challenges, ensuring the successful integration of telemedicine into Pakistan's healthcare system.
