Social media has become a powerful tool for political participation, reshaping how individuals engage with politics, mobilize, and express their opinions. This paper examines the impacts of social media on political participation, considering multiple disciplinary perspectives, including political science, sociology, communication studies, and psychology. It explores how social media platforms influence political behavior, voter turnout, activism, and public discourse. The paper also assesses the role of algorithms, misinformation, and echo chambers in shaping political outcomes. By reviewing existing research and case studies, this study provides a comprehensive understanding of the intersection between social media and political participation.
