Regenerative medicine has revolutionized orthopedic care by introducing stem cell therapy as a promising approach to enhance tissue repair and regeneration. This article provides a comprehensive overview of the clinical applications of stem cell therapy in orthopedics, highlighting its role in treating cartilage defects, bone fractures, osteoarthritis, and tendon injuries. We discuss recent advances in stem cell types, delivery methods, and clinical outcomes, with a focus on the Pakistani healthcare context. Challenges such as regulatory hurdles, ethical concerns, and the need for standardized protocols are also addressed. The integration of stem cell therapy into orthopedic practice offers potential to improve patient outcomes and reduce healthcare burden associated with musculoskeletal disorders.
