Genetic engineering has made significant advancements, offering tremendous potential in medicine, agriculture, and biotechnology. However, the rapid growth of genetic manipulation technologies has sparked significant social and ethical debates. This paper explores the social and ethical implications of genetic engineering, focusing on its impact on human health, biodiversity, and societal values. It examines the ethical concerns associated with gene editing, cloning, and genetically modified organisms (GMOs), and discusses the challenges of regulating genetic technologies while balancing innovation and public safety. The paper also explores public perceptions and the role of policymakers in guiding the ethical use of genetic engineering.
